Though the State of Idaho didn't become a state until 1890,we still had a population of residents who served in the Civil War.Here are the Veterans of Nez Perce County who fought in that bloody war, that pitted brother against brother.Yes, there were many who served from the territory at that time.So the Idaho Civil War veterans deserve a remembrance for their sacrifice. The list below is as accurate as we can make at the present, but more information is coming forth more details, and names.

The civil war brought horror to every home.No dinner table was safe from the sadness this horrible war brought forth. Many memories passed down, all with sadness attached to them.
